A NEW APPROACH TO THE PROVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT FOR
SMALL BUSINESSES

What is C.A.R.E
A FLEXIBLE AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL EAP MODELS OF MENTAL HEALTH
C.A.R.E is an arm of Life Changes Counselling, a charitable organisation set up in 2006 to offer affordable counselling to individuals on low incomes, struggling with their mental health.
With this experience behind us, our drive towards better mental health for all has led to the development of C.A.R.E - a programme offering mental health support to small businesses and organisations in and around the SO Post Code area.
Why C.A.R.E
IMPROVED PERFORMANCE THROUGH IMPROVED
MENTAL HEALTH
At C.A.R.E we understand that absenteeism and diminished performance due to poor mental health, can have a significant impact on your business.
We also understand that the fee structure of most EAP providers often means that the cost of providing mental health support for your employees, far outstrips your budget, particularly in today’s challenging economic climate.
How can C.A.R.E help your business
WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY
At C.A.R.E we offer another way. We provide your employees with quality mental health support on a pay as you go basis.
This means that there is no retaining fee that can drain funds for a service that isn’t being used. Your employees have access to support when they need it, without you continuing to pay when they don’t.
FAQS
How much does C.A.R.E Cost?
Each weekly consultation will be charged at £60, paid before the session takes place. We offer a 10% discount if the full cost of the course is paid in advance.
How many sessions constitutes a course?
We recommend a course of up to six sessions to start with, however for more difficult issues such as domestic abuse, we can offer up to 12 sessions.
Where will the counselling sessions take place?
This is up to you. We aim to be flexible in all aspects of the service and offer a choice that suits the client. Our counsellors work online, face to face in their own practice rooms, and in the Life Changes Counselling premises at Winchester House, Carlton Crescent, Southampton. If you have an appropriate space available, we can deliver the service at your location. This is often the most practical solution when multiple staff members are accessing support.
Who runs C.A.R.E?
This service is an extension of Life Changes Counselling, a well-established organisation providing affordable counselling to those who might otherwise be unable to access support. It is overseen by a board of unpaid volunteer trustees, motivated by service to the community rather than profit. Any surplus from C.A.R.E activities and NHS provision is reinvested into our core service, reducing reliance on uncertain grant funding.
Who are the Counsellors who deliver the service?
All of our counsellors are
fully qualified alumni of LCC.
They represent the best of our volunteers, who after qualification are offered roles on our Paid Counsellor Project. After gaining further experience in this work, we choose them for our commercial projects. At all stages, they have been nurtured by our management group and LCC clinical supervisors, enabling us to have confidence in their suitability and passion for this work. All of our counsellors are registered or accredited with either the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
